Is there a doctor in the house?

Today James defended his dissertation, and emerged victorious. He is now officially Dr. James Atlas, assistant professor of computer and information sciences at the University of Delaware.

How cool is that?!

The presentation itself lasted more than an hour, and then his panel asked him questions and conferred. They all agreed that he deserved the degree.

It’s like a weird dream. It’s so hard to believe that, after 5 years of work, he has completed his PhD and is done. Yay!

I told the kids they can call him Dr. Daddy.
