    New Articles Out

    30 April 2009

I had three stories published today.

Two in Delaware Moms, including this one on tween fashion and this one about creative date ideas for couples. (click through to read the entire story. and by clicking on the digital image, it will take you to a text version that’s easier to read.)

And this one on the cover of Crossroads.

    It’s a good day! :)

A story I wrote about Delaware Etsy artists was on the cover of Monday’s Life section of the News Journal, as well as on the front page photo plug line!

You can read it online here. Sarah Dressler, the woman in one of the photos, is a friend of ours at New Ark UCC.

Once you check it out, go on Etsy.com and see if you don’t catch Etsy addiction, like I have! :)

    Janel’s Writing, 1/29

    29 January 2009

With the economy the way that it is, I’m hurting for assignments. There are some bright spots (I’ve been writing people’s resumes), but overall, it’s rough to be a freelancer right now. Several of the magazines I write for regularly don’t have money to pay freelancers and are doing everything in house.

Here’s are some topics that I’m working on right now:

    1. Dramatic Play
    2. Creative Date Nights
    3. How to redecorate for cheap
    4. Summary of “The Great Depression Ahead”
    5. Sustainable Small-Scale Vegetable Production
    6. Vintage Base Ball

So, there it is. Stay tuned for posts about recently published articles for you to read! :)
