Halloween, 2008

The girls were crazy all day today. The fact that Charlotte woke up at 5:30 a.m. and their excitement about the Halloween festivities definitely combined for the perfect storm.

Evelyn’s school did a cute program for us, in which the kids all marched out in their costumes, to much cheering and fanfare. 🙂 There are 13 kids in her class, all 4-year olds. They each greeted their parents/siblings and then sat in a large circle to sing a few songs and recite some poems they had memorized. It was really cute.

There were several princesses, Diesel the Train, a pirate, a dinosaur, etc., etc.

In the time between dropping Evelyn off at school (9 a.m.) and arriving early for the “parade” and “show” (11:15 a.m.), Char and I did some errand-running but still found time to go to Dunkin Donuts to read the paper and enjoy a treat.
