A magical time at Grandma’s house

The weekend before Christmas, we went down to my parents house in southern Delaware. As if this time of year isn’t special enough, a snowstorm dropped more than a foot of snow on the countryside. It was great to see my brothers and sister, and their spouses. The kids had a great time, even getting to make a snowman, play with the dogs (3!) and participate in a high-spirited snowball fight.

As a special treat, Charlotte opened her birthday gifts the night before.

This is what we returned to, however, with just 2 days to pack our house up for the move…

Snowed out, with two feet of snow to dig out before we could get out of the car.
