It’s the last day of September 2010, and we’re closing in on our new baby’s arrival. Things are going well with the pregnancy, and we’re all glad (but especially me!) that the 90 degree weather seems to be gone for good.
I have regularly scheduled biophysical profiles, which are mini-ultrasounds in which a high-risk maternal-fetal health doctor checks for the baby’s well-being. Those are held every Tuesday morning. It’s fun to see our little guy growing so well. I rented a home doppler in order to be able to listen to the baby’s heartbeat, but because he’s so very active, I haven’t had cause to use it for about 3 months now! In fact, my belly is roiling right now with his busy movements! 🙂
Our level II ultrasound and growth scan on Tuesday morning confirmed that the baby is growing well. He’s measuring 5 lbs. 9 ozs., which is large for this gestational age. (Not surprising, given Evelyn and Charlotte’s weights at birth!)
So, that’s the update. We’re so excited to meet our little boy and introduce him to the world of wonderful friends and family we’re so lucky to have.
