Telling a Story of Stillbirth: Accepting the Limits of Narrative

This is an essay I wrote for my UD Digital Writing seminar about how grief and our family’s story about Beatrice have changed over time. With They Were Still Born coming out in paperback this summer, I’ve been thinking a lot about how narratives can only present a tiny part of an experience. “Telling a Story of Stillbirth: Accepting the Limits of Narrative” is about how I’ve come to terms with the fact that I can’t change or revise my essay in that collection.
