Winter Poem, by Charlotte (8 years old)

Snowflake. another.

I put a bookmark in my book.

downstairs someone knocks.

I take a flashlight and hear Christmas carols.

you look over your shoulder and see the snowplow in the cold.

you and I walk downtown.

Together.

you and me.

Sometimes I want to fly away with you in the snow. falling love.

like an ever-changing scrapbook.

Life.

Life is our playground.
