Morning Tea Cookies

After visiting an early childhood center in New Zealand, where we’re living for the next 8 months, I asked Calvin if he’s excited about the presence of LEGOs in the preschool room.

Calvin: “Yes! Very excited.”

Me: “Why might little LEGOs have to stay in the big kids’ room?”

Calvin: “Because little kids and babies might put them in my mouth.”

  1. Janel — New Zealand? That’s quite a move from Delaware! Do you remember me? You used some astronomy photos of mine in your articles about hobby astronomy. I lost track of you — again — and now Google and I find you and your family are on the other side of the world, right across the Tasman sea from my sister, who lives in Tasmania! I hope all is well with you and yours. If you have time and chance, I’d like to hear what you think about EnZed, and of course I have to ask this question: Have you been to Hobbiton yet? ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hello, Steve! Of course I remember you! Great to hear from you. ๐Ÿ™‚
We are loving New Zealand–James and I came in early 2004 for a few weeks and had been scheming on how to return ever since. So far we have been based in Christchurch, so our trips have been daytrips or short weekends away. Haven’t made it to the North Island yet (that’s the plan in February, before we fly home to the states). Last time we did go to Hobbiton and really enjoyed it. This time we’ll have our three little hobbits with us! Thanks again for tracking me down.
